The ADM football team will have a new district to call home this upcoming season. Last year the ADM Tigers resided in District 8 but this season due to some substantial changes to the 2016-2017 district assignments, the Tigers will find themselves in District 7 this season.

With the release of the 2016-17 football district assignments by the Iowa High School Association, class 3A football will see a substantial shift in the districts. Instead of 8 districts comprised of 7 teams from last year there will be 7 districts comprised of 8 teams this year. ADM will join 5 other district 8 teams to make the jump to district 7; Atlantic, Creston, Glenwood, Harlan, and Winterset are the other 5 teams to make that move. Those teams will welcome in Carroll previously of District 2 and Denison-Schleswig, previously of District 1.

Another change by the Iowa High School Athletic Association will be that each district will only have two automatic qualifiers instead of four as has been the norm for the past several years.

Exact schedules along with non-district games are expected to be released by the ISHAA in the near future.
