IMG_4952Carnegie Library Museum volunteers in Perry have considered their Festival of Trees event a success since it began in 2014 but this past year’s event exceeded their expectations.

According to volunteer organizer Laura Stebbins, the total amount of money raised in 2015 was more than $3,400.  That includes money tossed into the donation boxes, favorite tree votes, silent auction proceeds, raffle money and funds collected during their invite-only gala.

Stebbins says this is a huge boost to being able to do programming in 2016 and promote their events and exhibits.

She says it’s wonderful to have some funds to work with going forward but that doesn’t always mean more people through the doors so Stebbins encourages people to continue to spread the word about their events.

The museum is closed for the month of January and will reopen with the annual BRR exhibit on February 6th.
