Greene County Iowa State University Extension is offering a new short series of programs starting tomorrow.
Director Lori Mannel says the Ag Coffees are a series of three informal presentations on agriculture-related topics. The first one takes place tomorrow from 9:30 to 10:30am on “Soil Fertility: How to Read Your Soil Test Results.” It will be led by ISU Extension Field Agronomist Mark Johnson. Mannel talks about why they wanted to start up this new program.
“Well I think we need to continue to further develop our ag programs that we offer here in Greene County and it just quick and easy. It’s just an informal discussion. Just come in and learn more about soil fertility.”
Thursday’s program is sponsored by New Cooperative and it will be at the Extension office in Jefferson. Refreshments will be served. Two more programs will be held in February and March. No pre-registration is required for the free programs.
