The Greene County Board of Supervisors met yesterday in regular session.
The Board continued to hear several funding requests for the 2017 fiscal year. The Greene County Early Learning Center requested $5,000, Jefferson Congregate Meals asked for $7,000, Greene County Historical Society requested $7,500 and the Greene County Fair Board asked for $24,000. The Supervisors took no action on any of the requests.
Economic Development Director Ken Paxton reviewed next fiscal year’s budget for Greene County Development Corporation (GCDC). Paxton pointed out that GCDC is requesting a reduction in funding Midwest Partnership, due to Paxton being a full-time paid economic development director.
The Board approved the transfer of $318,000 of the $320,000 from the Resources Enhancement And Protection funds to the general fund for reimbursement from a previous temporary transfer.
Conservation Director Dan Towers said Ron Fick is retiring from the conservation board and requested the Board to review three possible replacements with Jerry Peckum, Nick Sorensen and Nick Foster. The Board took no action on the topic.
