Both Tiger pride and Bearcat pride will certainly be on display this holiday season after former ADM running back Jordan Grove and the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats won their fifth national championship last Saturday.
The Bearcats were undefeated heading into Saturday’s match up against Shepard University and they left that game still maintaining an unblemished record. Northwest Missouri State capped off a dominant year with a dominant win over Shepard University, defeating the Rams by the final score of 34-7.
Former ADM running back Jordan Grove showed his Tiger pride as he put up one of his best games of the season against the Rams. Grove pretty much dabbled in everything Saturday as he made significant contributions in the running, receiving, and yes, even passing game. Against Shepard University Grove had 104 yards receiving on 5 receptions, dominated on the ground earning 2 touchdowns on three carries, and showed off his versatility throwing a 45 yard pass completion.
A pretty phenomenal season for the underclassmen running back as he finished the season with 597 receiving yards on 47 receptions for 7 touchdowns, 170 rushing yards on 38 carries for 4 touchdowns, and to cap it off, one pass for 45 yards.
