It was a tough day for ADM basketball on Saturday. Both girls and boys basketball teams earned a check in the loss column at the hands of the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs.
The ADM boys started the game off on a slow note while storming back in the final quarter but it was not enough as the Tigers fell to the Mustangs by the final score of 59-64. ADM floor general Payton Conrad had one of his highest point totals of the season so far as he led all Tiger scoring with 20 points. Matt Larson followed with 14 points followed by Jacob Hardy with 8 points. The Tigers shot just 36% from the floor but did manage to shoot 11/13 from the free throw line.
The Lady Tigers met a similar fate as they too fell to the Mustangs by the final score of 37-40. That loss marks the second loss in a row for the Lady Tigers coming off of a four game winning streak.
With the losses the boys fall to 4-2 on the season and the girls now fall to 4-3. The ADM boys will have a quick turn around as they travel to face Creston on Monday. The Lady Tigers will have a little more time to wait before their next match up when they square off against the Perry Blue Jays on January 5th.
