Iowa Hawkeye basketball icon and former National Basketball Association star Bobby Hansen visited the Jefferson Rotary Club on Monday.

He spoke about the non-profit organization, the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Hansen is with the community and membership development department and highlighted some of the areas that the BBB helps by protecting individuals from negative business practices. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the marquee year for the BBB.

“This is our 75th anniversary as an organization in the state of Iowa. We trying to reach out to Rotary groups in towns in Iowa to reach 75 of them and this is number 74, so we’ve been on the road.”

Hansen also shared some of the basketball experiences with the Rotarians. President John Brunow says he was tickled to get to meet Hansen. He also signed a basketball which will be used for next year’s annual dinner auction.
