As we’ve seen over the past 48 hours, there are many different types of precipitation that can fall during the winter.

Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf says it’s important to stay aware and know how each weather event can affect the environment. “We’ve got snow, sleet, rain, freezing rain, all of these different things and they have different effects on our environment, whether it be roads, trees, power lines and things like that.”
