The Guthrie Center girls basketball team is working on some new strategies for this year. Head Coach Jordan Waddell says much of this first week of practice will be spent on getting everybody on the same page. “We’re going to have to get everybody on the same page in terms of playing a more aggressive style of defense this year. That takes some time. The players have got to get to know each other. A lot of them obviously haven’t played together, being from different grade levels. We’re just getting a better feel for the game and better feel for each other this week. We’ll be attacking it both offensively and defensively this week.”

The Tigers began practice Monday.
