The use of Hudl and Dragonfly have become a mainstay for the sports of football, basketball, volleyball and even baseball and softball.  However, the film technology has not quite reached the high school swimming pools yet.  The Perry Jayettes recently held their end of season banquet and Head Coach Jean Dowd said the use of cameras to improve individual stroke is difficult just because of the expense.

“We really don’t do much filming during the season.  We have no underwater cameras to capture what goes on underneath the water.  We will utilize the cameras from the deck during the preseason practice check on technique and stroke.  But the short answer is that we really don’t do a lot of filming just because its so expensive for the equipment needed.”
