Thousands of people will gather in Perry this weekend for a festival that continues to grow each and every year.
Seven buildings in Perry’s downtown arts and culture district will be filled with artists, musicians and poets this weekend for the sixth annual Art on the Prairie.
Event founder Mary Rose Nichols says the event features more than 100 talented Iowans.
“You will be amazed at the caliber of artists that are coming to Perry. It’s just unbelievable. Professors and different people who have shown their work in galleries across the county.”
New this year is a food court behind La Poste, along with a bloody mary bat and the addition of the Peterson Design Studio as a venue.
There’s no cost to attend the event. It will run Saturday from 10am until 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. For more information visit ArtOnThePrairie.org.
