A deputy was dispatched for an abandoned E-911 call that mapped to the 1900 block of E Avenue. Everything was found to be in order upon the deputy’s arrival.
A deputy was advised of a burglary and theft of prescription medications from a residence in the 1400 block of 160th Street.
The Sheriff was advised of the possible illegal use of a debit card by a juvenile in Grand Junction.
A deputy was dispatched to a car-deer accident that occurred on Highway 4, just south of 160th Street. Brant Matthew Schmit 32, of Jefferson, was southbound on N Avenue when a deer ran onto the roadway and was struck by the Schmit 2003 GMC Yukon. Brant Schmit was not injured but damage to his GMC was estimated to be $5500.
A deputy advised a female that if her phone was used to send harassing text messages to a male subject, she may be charged with harassment.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
