A deputy was advised of two wheel trailer, with a flat tire, that was off the roadway in the 1200 block of 290th Street.

A deputy was unable to find a reported dog running at large in the area of South Main and 9th Street in Grand Junction.

A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of 130th Street to investigate Criminal Mischief to a mailbox.

Three members of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Junction Rescue and Greene County Emergency Medical Services all responded to a two vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 30 and W Avenue. Driver’s identification, vehicle status and charges will be given at a later time, upon further investigation.

A deputy spoke to residents in the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction regarding a No Contact Order and when a male subject may come to the residence and retrieve his personal property.

A deputy was advised of debris on the roadway at W Avenue and 250th Street. The debris had been removed before the deputy’s arrival.

A deputy checked the identity of a hitchhiker on Highway 30, east of Jefferson, and subsequently arrested Rory Van Huth 47, of Grand Junction, on an outstanding warrant.

A deputy was dispatched to a car-deer accident in the 1000 block of 240th Street. A vehicle being driven by Jason Robert Sherlock 44, of Jefferson, was eastbound on 240th Street when a deer ran onto the roadway and was struck by the Sherlock van. Jason Sherlock was not injured but his van sustained an estimated $1000 in damages.

A deputy was dispatched to the 900 block of Jay Street in Churdan to investigate Criminal Mischief to a vehicle.

A deputy was advised by personnel from the Greene County Medical Center of a juvenile female that had been bitten by a dog at a residence in Grand Junction. The dog was taken to the Jefferson Veterinary Clinic and will be transported to the Iowa State Diagnostic Laboratory on Wednesday.

A deputy was asked to check the welfare of several children at a residence in the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction. Everyone at the residence was found to be safe.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
