spooktacular06There’s no shortage of Halloween festivities in Perry today as costumed characters of all ages can join in on the fun.

It starts with the Perry Chamber’s annual Spooktacular event downtown from 4-6pm.

“Businesses that are located downtown and throughout the community are coming down for the kids.  We recommend kids 12 years and younger please.  It is a safe environment, we’ll have the roads blocked off like we said and you get to go up and down, get some candy and treats and experience a fun Halloween time.“

That’s Chamber Executive Director Bob Wilson who says he and his children look forward to the event every year.

The citywide trick-or-treat event takes place from 6-8pm.  Those who are handing out treats are asked to turn on their outside lights and children should only stop by homes that have their porch lights on.

Finally, if you’re looking for a scare, this weekend is your last chance to check out the Perry Firefighters Association’s “Haunted Barn”.  Taking place in the farmers market building on the west side of Caboose Park the attraction is open from 7-11pm and the cost is $5 per person.
