Those looking for musical entertainment this weekend will find it in Jefferson.

The Town and Country Band is hosting a “Dessert and Dance Tunes” concert on Sunday.  Songs include big band selections, plus swing, rock ‘n’ roll, waltzes, polkas and even the Chicken Dance.

The performance will be at St. Joseph’s Parish Center on Sunday at 2pm.  Director Victoria Chargo says they usually perform at outdoor venues, but they are going to be indoors so if people get the urge to dance, they can do so on a solid floor rather than on grass.

Attendees can also enjoy pie, ice cream, other desserts and beverages.  Free will donations will be accepted with proceeds to go toward equipment purchases for the community band.
