Wednesday, October 28th
A deputy spoke with several youth at the Greene County Intermediate School in Grand Junction about threats made against each other and bullying.
A deputy was advised of a northbound semi-tractor trailer on D Avenue that had damaged his mirror by a south bound semi-tractor as they were on the river bridge, south of Hyde Park, at the same time.
A deputy transported a Golden Retriever, that was running at large near the Casey’s General Store in Grand Junction, to the animal shelter in Jefferson.
A deputy was advised of a careless driver that had passed to the right of a vehicle while that vehicle was trying to make a right turn at the intersection of N Avenue and 110th Street. The vehicle and the driver were located in Calhoun County.
A deputy was advised by the Union Pacific Railroad of cattle along the railroad right of way near Falcon Avenue. The owner was located and advised of the situation.
Thursday, October 29th
A deputy and the Sheriff were dispatched to the 1600 block of Neola Avenue to investigate the disappearance of a juvenile female. It was later determined that she was safe and with her biological father in Minnesota.
A deputy assisted the Fremont County Colorado Sheriff’s Office with providing information pertaining to a past Greene County resident.
A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction to investigate the report of someone discharging a BB or pellet gun at animals.
A Jefferson Police Officer assisted the Sheriff’s Office with trying to locate a reported injured deer on Highway 4, north of Jefferson. The officer was not able to find the deer.
A deputy was dispatched to the 2400 block of Neola Avenue for a vehicle that was disabled due to hitting a deer, north of Jefferson. A 2012 Hyundai being driven by Payal Patel of Pinckneyville, Illinois, sustained major damage, estimated to be $10,000. Patel was not injured in the accident.
Friday, October 30th
A deputy was advised of a car-deer accident that occurred on Highway 30 near J Avenue and the driver continued on to the Kum & Go in Jefferson. The deputy provided the driver with an accident report to be filled out and sent to the state.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
