The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents to be aware of scam phone calls. The scammers impersonate Sheriff’s deputies, telling callers there is a warrant out for their arrest for missed jury duty and the only way to get out of the warrant is to provide a paypal payment. No law enforcement agency operates in such a manner. If you receive a similar call, please hang up and call your local law enforcement agency.
