Two Perry High School students have qualified for a state automotive skills contest.
Timothy Twogood and Noah Brandt will compete in the Des Moines Area Community College state contest. It’s a hands on competition where students are tested in the eight automotive areas of engine repair, engine performance, brakes, steering and suspension, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning and both manual and automatic transmissions.
Contest winners will receive up to $1,500 in tools along with scholarships to DMACC.
