As part of their nearly 60 mile Homecoming Rally Run from Interstate 35 High School in Truro to the Panorama football field on October 16th, the Panthers cross country team raised $3,400 for three causes.
Head coach Greg Thompson says $850 will go to help both the Johnston and Christofferson families in their fight against cancer.
The remaining $1,700 will go to fund a team trip to summer camp. Thompson says his student-athletes may have already selected a trip destination. “The kids really want me to take them out to Colorado sometime in August next year.”
Thompson hopes the Rally Run can become a regular homecoming festivity.
