If your child is still figuring out what to be for Halloween this year, there are a couple things to keep in mind to try and make sure they are safe.
Perry Police Chief Eric Vaughn says costume choice in itself can make a difference.
“We want to try and stay away from things that will maybe get caught on different things, and long, flowy things that maybe make you trip. Make sure if you have your face (covered) or a mask on you have good visibility out of it also. I know a lot of costumes are often black or red or dark colors, that kind of thing so it would be great if you had something reflective on so drivers can see you or carry something in your hands, you know a flashlight or something like that would be very helpful also.”
Chief Vaughn will share more Halloween safety tips and reminders with us on today’s Let’s Talk Dallas County during the 9am, noon and 5pm hours on AM 1310 KDLS and FM 99.7.
