Greene County faces the number one ranked Class 3A team in Iowa tonight to open Region 2 play. Coach Donna Carhill’s 15-21 Rams play 25-3 Kuemper Catholic at Kuemper High School in Carroll tonight at 7 p.m. with the winner moving on to the semifinal round at Kuemper on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. Number 13 East Sac County (Lake View) meets Southeast Valley (Gowrie) in Lake View tonight with the two winners advancing. Other teams in Region 2 include Atlantic, Clarinda, Red Oak, and Shenandoah.

Coach Carhill talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about facing the number one ranked team. “We go and do what we can do. Play as tough of defense as we can. We know that there are weaknesses in every defense and we also know that anybody can win, or lose, at any given time.”
