
One Perry High School runner is headed to the state cross country meet this weekend.
Sophomore runner Grace Stewart is the only person from the Perry, ADM and Greene County boys and girls teams to make it to the state contest. She finished in 14th place at the state qualifying meet in Glenwood with a time of 20 minutes and 50 seconds. This is the first year the top 15 runners advance to the state meet.
The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union State Cross Country Meet takes place Saturday at the Fort Dodge Golf and Country Club.
