Friday, October 23rd
Two deputies, personnel from the Greene County Emergency Medical Services andthe Jefferson Fire Department responded to a single vehicle roll-over accident on Highway 4 at 310th Street. A 2009 Nissan Versa being driven by Donna Rose Blair of Jefferson was northbound on Highway 4 when she lost control of her vehicle and it entered the west ditch, rolling and coming to rest on the passenger side. Blair was not injured but her vehicle sustained major damage.
Dispatchers at the Greene County Law Enforcement Center were advised of a damaged power pole on Quest Avenue near 320th Street. Midland Power Cooperative was informed of the situation.
A deputy spoke with a resident in the 1100 block of Orchard Avenue about a child custody civil issue.
Saturday, October 24th
Two Greene County Deputies investigated a reported sexual assault case in the 400 block of Madison Street in Scranton. Later in the evening four members of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on that address and subsequently arrested Anthony Michael Grife 22, of Scranton for Sexual Abuse-2nd Degree, B Felony – 3 counts, Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – Cause to Engage in Act-C Felony, Sexual Exploitation of a Minor- Promote Film, D Felony, Lascivious Acts With a Child – Fondle or Touch, C Felony and Lascivious Conduct with a Minor, a Serious Misdemeanor.
A deputy investigated a non-reportable car-deer accident that occurred on Highway 30 near J Avenue. Minor damage was caused to a vehicle owned and being driven by Christena Lynn Miller of Carroll.
The Chief Deputy Sheriff investigated the report of a stop sign that had been struck and damaged in Churdan. The sign was struck but still visible to the motorists.
A deputy was dispatched for an injured deer that was partially on the roadway on Highway 4 near 310th Street. The deer was removed from the roadway.
Sunday, October 25th
A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with trying to locate a reported stolen car that was taken from the 300 block of East Monroe Street in Jefferson.
A deputy was advised of cattle on the roadway at 182nd Street, east of D Avenue. Several cattle owners were advised of the situation.
A deputy was advised of a loaded farm wagon that had broken a wheel axle on 250th Street near D Avenue. The roadway was closed to traffic while the corn was transferred to another truck.
A deputy was unable to locate a reported distraught male subject that was walking in the 300 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
