Ever since a fire destroyed Casey’s City Hall in August 2014, the City’s offices have been without a permanent home. City Clerk Michelle King expects that to change soon. King says the City plans to soon let bids for the construction of a new building, which will stand on the site of the old one. The two-story, 4,800 square-foot building will contain the City’s offices on the ground floor and have a community center on the upper floor. Once the bidding process is complete, King hopes construction to last approximately nine months.
