Bill Wagner is running for one of three open at-large seats on the Guthrie Center City Council.
Wagner has decades of public service experience, serving for 25 years as a Veteran’s Benefits Counselor with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs at their regional office in Los Angeles, California.
He has a major concern when it comes to the City of Guthrie Center. “Its future. There is a problem with having enough students for the schools and I think that’s a symptom of a city that’s dying on the vine. I think economic development of Guthrie Center is one of the most critical issues. If we have more economic development, we’ll have a better standard of living and we’ll have more young people moving into the city, that will increase the development of the town.”
We’ll feature a different Guthrie Center City Council candidate each day this week. The election is next Tuesday, November 3rd.
