2361968-3885794-505Red Ribbon Week is next week at Guthrie Center Elementary School.

 

Students are able to dress up each day to match a theme to remain drug free. Monday is hat and sunglasses day where students can ‘shade out drugs.’ Students can ‘team up against drugs’ on Tuesday by dressing alike. Wednesday is mismatched clothing day, with the slogan ‘don’t let drugs mess you up.’ Thursday, students are ‘celebrating coloring their world bright, by not doing drugs’, when they dress up in bright colors. On Friday, the slogan is ‘don’t let drugs trick you, treat yourself to a healthy life’ with students dressing up in costumes.

Red Ribbon Week is held annually in the last week of October with the goal of raising awareness for alcohol, tobacco, drug and violence prevention.
