Greene County High School head football coach Dean Lansman takes his team to Carroll Athletic Field tonight to face the Carroll High Tigers. It’s the final regular season game of 2015 and he’s hoping it’s not the end of the road for the entire campaign. The Rams are 4-4 overall, but just 2-3 in Class 3A District 2, and they need to not only upset Carroll (5-3, 4-1) to get one of the four playoff berths from the district, but would need help in the way of upset victories in the district from either 0-8 Perry vs. 3-5 Humboldt, or 2-6 Boone vs. undefeated District 2 champion Webster City, 8-0, 5-0.

Coach Lansman told Raccoon Valley Radio this has been a fun season with a special group of seniors whether tonight is the last game for the Rams or not. “This group has spent a lot of time together in the off-season and throughout the season. They are a pretty close group of individuals and they push each other. The thing that really sticks out is that they never quit! We’ve been in the ballgame to the end and they fight every week. Whether it ends tonight or not, who knows what’s going to happen throughout the district, it has been a special year. We’ve seen a lot of things, a lot of growth, and they never give up!”

Coverage on KG98 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com begins at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
