A Perry business and its owner have again been named among the best of the best when it comes to Iowa tourism.
Hotel Pattee owner Jay Hartz was presented with the Outstanding Individual Leader award at the Iowa Tourism Conference Thursday in Fairfield. Additionally, the Hotel Pattee was also chosen as the Outstanding Niche Marketing Initiative. Both awards represent the best in the rural areas of Iowa.
Awards were given in a total of 14 different categories by the Iowa Tourism Office and the Travel Federation of Iowa.
Travel Federation President Carla Eysink says these awards are the highest honor given in the state’s tourism industry.
Last year the Hotel Pattee received the Outstanding Lodging Award at the same conference.
