The Stuart Public Library’s Foundation Auction is this week.

Director Sandy Pollard says a variety of quality items will be auctioned off including gift baskets, quilts, services from local businesses, furniture, art, food and much more. She says they’re hoping to raise $5,000 from the event which can provide a nice boost of inventory to the library. “For $1,000 we can buy about 40 books. So, for $5,000 we could get 200 books!”

The auction takes place Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Stuart Public Library.
