As we’ve reported, soybean yield numbers in Guthrie County this year are as high as they’ve been in the last decade. Yale Farmer’s Cooperative Feed Merchandising Manager Scott Fredrickson says corn yields are looking good too. “Corn has been coming in really well too. An awful lot of reports of 200 bushels per acre and I would call that a range of about 180 to 240. I think the average will settle around 200 to 210.”
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach reports the 10 year corn yield average in Guthrie County to be 155 bushels per acre.
