A Minburn man faces several charges after officers find drugs and guns during two search warrants.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office, deputies were joined by officers with the Mid Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force in executing a search warrant at 715 Laurel Street in Minburn Thursday.

During the search, officers found a marijuana growing operation including multiple pounds of marijuana and more than 100 plants.  A follow up search warrant at 27741 Fairgounds Road in Adel resulted in the location of two firearms.

As a result, 51 year-old Robert Barrett Jr. is charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Manufacturing of Marijuana, Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp and two counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
