A Hamilton County man is sentenced to 15 years in prison and six years without a driver’s license after leading several law enforcement agencies on a high speed chase through Guthrie, Greene and Carroll counties on August 11th. The chase began north of Guthrie Center and ended when the suspect’s vehicle collided with a Coon Rapids Police vehicle and Carroll County Sheriff’s vehicle near Coon Rapids.
32 year old Justin Gerlach pled guilty in Carroll County court Thursday to Operating While Intoxicated, third offense and Eluding or Attempting to Elude, both Class D Felonies as a Habitual Offender.
Gerlach will be eligible for parole in three years and will receive credit for time already served.
