One person sustained minor injuries in a crash that blocked both lanes of traffic on Highway 141 in Dallas County around noon Friday.

Sergeant Nathan Ludwig with the Iowa State Patrol tells Raccoon Valley Radio 53 year-old Rebecca Devine of Woodward was driving a sedan westbound on Highway 141, just west of the Woodward exit, at 12:01pm Friday and was distracted when she struck a semi truck hauling grain.  She was taken to the Dallas County Hospital to be treated for “non-serious” injuries and cited for failure to maintain control.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Woodward Fire and Dallas County EMS all assisted the State Patrol at the scene.

Westbound traffic was forced to pass the crash on the shoulder, as directed by first responders, while crews tended to the scene.
