A notice for Jefferson residents, due to the Columbus Day holiday on Monday, some offices and businesses will be closed.

Jefferson City Hall, the Jefferson Post Office and the Jefferson Public Library will all be closed in observance of the holiday.  The library staff would like to remind everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Residents are reminded that garbage routes will be delayed one day.  Monday’s routes will be done on Tuesday, Tuesday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday’s routes will be pushed back to Thursday and Thursday’s routes will be done on Friday.  Routes will go back to regular schedules the following week.  Residents are also reminded to have their garbage at the curbside by 6am to ensure pick up.
