Dallas County Supervisors Meeting Preview

There are three gatherings of the Dallas County Board of Supervisors scheduled this week.

The first is a planning workshop with the Emergency Medical Services and medical examiner’s office, starting at 8am, followed by meetings with the sheriff’s office, treasurer and conservation department.

The regular meeting takes place Tuesday starting at 9am.  Items on the agenda include consideration of an out of state travel request from the EMS director, a resolution for a temporary road closure to replace culverts on 320th Way and consideration of a bond and disclosure counsel engagement agreement.

The Board will then consider parking lot bids for the human services campus, discuss department space needs and who will relocate to the campus and hold an operations department workshop.

Finally, the Supervisors will hold another set of planning workshops with the operations administration and facilities department, information technology and attorney’s office.

All meetings take place in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in Adel.

 

Perry City Council Meeting Preview

The Perry City Council will meet in regular session Monday.

Items on the agenda include approval of the fourth pay request for the apron rehabilitation project at the Perry Municipal Airport, setting fall yard waste burning dates and procedures and approving an agreement with Simmering-Cory for blight assessment services.

The Council will also set a public hearing in regards to the issuance of a $96,000 general obligation equipment loan for the purchase of a new garbage truck and consider a Dallas County Local Housing Trust Fund contribution request.

The meeting takes place at 6pm in the Clarion Room of the Security Bank Building.
