The Greene County High School cross-country teams finished well down the line at Thursday’s Leon Fox Cross-Country Coed Invitational at the Perry County Club course. Dallas Center-Grimes won both the girls and boys team titles. The Greene County girls had 321 points and finished ahead of Perry at 357. The Greene County boys were last with 407.
Leading the Rams on the girls’ side was junior Olivia Hansen, who finished nineteenth. Melanie Doran was 69th, followed by Sunny Mobley 78th, Regan Lamoureux 79th, Emma Larson 80th, and Emily Most 81st. The Rams were without number two runner Emily Finch.
The Greene County boys were without their number one runner, Kane Borgeson. Nick Killion was 69th for the best finish by a Ram. Ben Wilkens was 83rd, Ethan Woodruff 84th, Nathan Kennedy 85th, and Jacob Hueser 86th.
Next up for Coach Kelly Simpson’s team is the South Central Calhoun meet in Lake City on Oct. 6.
