A continuing childcare education course will be offered next week at the Greene County Iowa State University Extension office in Jefferson.

Extension Director Lori Mannel says the “Don’t Give Kids a Tummyache” workshop is designed to give tips and strategies keep kids safe from foodborne illnesses, knowing how to properly prepare food and ways to keep kids physically active.  ISU Extension Nutrition and Wellness Specialist Katie Knobbe will lead the workshop.

The class will count toward continuing education for childcare providers, but it is also open to any adult as well.  The cost is $10.  It will be held from 6 to 8pm on Monday, October 5th.  Call 386-2138 to sign up.
