The Greene County boys’ cross-country team has just one senior on it, and if all goes according to plan, he’ll get to make his season debut tomorrow. Ethan Woodruff has yet to run a meet, but he told Raccoon Valley Radio he’s been training and plans to run at the Oct. 1 Leon Fox Invitational at Perry. He told Raccoon Valley Radio, “I’ve been practicing with my teammates. It’s going to be a challenge keeping up with them, but hopefully I can.”
Woodruff said he has some goals for the meet at the Perry Country Club course. “I would like to beat my previous PR (Personal Record), which is a high 19 minutes, but anything under 22 for the first meet would be nice, I think.”
The Greene County middle school and high school girls and boys teams will also be participating on Thursday.
