Two highly ranked Class 1A football teams will lock horns in Panora Friday night when the Panorama Panthers hosts Van Meter. The Panthers are 5-0 on the season and Van Meter has a record of 4-1, with the lone blemish coming to highly ranked Madrid in week 1. Panthers Head Coach Lyle Alumbaugh says it should be an exciting contest. “They’re extremely well coached. They’ll be very confident, they’ve had a lot of winning the last few years. Their kids will play just as hard as they can, just like ours will. It should be a good contest, no question about it.”

Kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday night in Panora.
