musicnotes1fullIn order to see a symphony orchestra perform, typically you have to purchase tickets, travel to a larger city and worry about parking, but Perry Fine Arts is bringing one to town next month.

“We’re having the largest group that Fine Arts has ever had.  It’s the Iowa State University student orchestra and they’re about eighty strong.  So they’ll be playing classical music.  They’re playing three pieces but each one has multiple parts to it.”

That’s organizer Duane Griffin who says they were able to connect with the orchestra through one of their newest members, Perry High School instrumental music teacher and ISU alum Brandon Weeks.

The performance is scheduled for 7pm on Tuesday, October 13th at the Perry Performing Arts Center.

There is no set admission cost to attend, though donations are appreciated to help support this and other Perry Fine Arts programs.
