It’s Homecoming Week at West Central Valley High School.

The homecoming court has been announced. Queen candidates include Hailey Gross, Caroline Doud, Emily O’Brien, Mikayla Askren and Christina Boss. King candidates are Gavin Lamb, Gabriel Wagner, John Askren, Zach Heffernen and Tim Draper.

Activities Director Tod Broman says coronation will take place Friday night. “We will have coronation at 6 p.m. on the football field, so people will need to come earlier for that.”

There is a theme that students can dress up as each day this week. Today is USA day with a patriotic theme. Tuesday is beach day. Wednesday is ‘er’ day, which Broman explains what that means. “They call it ‘er’, e-r day. That means dress like your favorite character or an occupation that ends in ‘er’, like farmer, runner, teacher, etc.”

Thursday is retro day where students can dress from their favorite decade and Friday there will be lots of Wildcat purple, silver and white as students celebrate spirit day.
