Greene County went 3-2 in games and 6-6 in sets to finish in fifth place at the South Hardin volleyball tournament Saturday in Eldora. Coach Donna Carhill’s team was 1-5 in games going into the day so Greene County has some momentum heading into another road contest on Tuesday vs. Roland-Story in Story City. Greene County has not played at home yet and won’t until Sept. 24.

The Rams were third in their four-team pool in Eldora. Greene County lost 0-2 vs. Grand View Christian (Des Moines), lost 0-2 to Forest City, and won two of three vs. South Hardin. The Rams won 2-0 vs. the Forest CIty JV, then won two of three for a second time vs. South Hardin for fifth place.
