The Dallas County Conservation Board is offering a hunter education course later this week.
Anyone who wants to hunt and was born after January 1, 1972 is required to complete the class before they are eligible to purchase an Iowa hunting license.
The field day courses are taught by certified volunteer instructors and conservation officers. Topics that will be touched on include firearms handling, ethics and responsibility and hunting laws.
All registrants need to be at least 11 years old. The course will be taught at the Forest Park Museum Saturday from noon to 4pm.
