greene county medical center logoThe Greene County Medical Center Auxiliary recently released its 2015 fiscal year report.

President Sharon Stoline says they had 167 members, including 97 active and 70 inactive.  Auxiliarians provided 8,170.75 volunteer hours, which when compared to the Points of Light and the Independent Sector, Stoline points out that the value of each volunteer hour is $22.14, making the time donated by Auxiliarians valued at $180,900.41.

As for their fundraisers, they made $12,428 from a quilt raffle, October’s Table Talk event, the holiday candy sale, holiday of lights, a garage sale and a cookie and pastry sale.  The Auxiliary also gave $3,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors that are going into the healthcare field.  They also provided $20,360 in equipment for the medical center with beds, tv’s and tv mounts for long term care.

Stoline describes what she was most impressed with this past fiscal year.

“I would say the ability of so many people to be willing to participate.  We have so many members that have kind of a pet project they like to work in and it’s varied enough that everybody seems to stay busy doing something or another.”

New for the 2015 fiscal year was a Muffin and Puffin sale around Easter time where the Auxiliary sold frozen food and there’s a bargain room at the gift shop that changes on a weekly basis.

Stoline was happy how well their fiscal year turned out and is hoping for even more success this fiscal year.
