Perry School Board member Jim Lutmer was successful in his bid for a second term on the Board this week after receiving 259 votes.

We spoke with him before the election to find out where he feels the district can improve.

“It all goes back to the funding.  If we don’t get funding from the state and federal (government) it effects us because we run such a fine line on the dollars and cents that if something gets vetoed or declined it just throws a huge curveball on not only the curriculum but the overall organization.”

Lutmer, fellow incumbent Kenia Alarcon and newcomer Linda Andorf will all be sworn in at Monday’s regularly scheduled school board meeting.
