The Greene County high school and middle school coed cross-country teams host their only home meet of the year later today northeast of Jefferson at Spring Lake State Park. Middle school races begin at 4:30 p.m. and varsity action begins at 5 p.m.

Greene County is hosting Paton-Churdan, Perry, Guthrie Center, Panorama, Colo-Nesco, CMB (Maxwell), IKM-Manning, Southeast Valley (Gowrie), Denison-Schleswig, Roland-Story (Story City), Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton, Ar-We-Va (Westside), Audubon, Winterset, South Hamilton (Jewell), Nevada, Creston,Kuemper Catholic (Carroll), and Ogden.

In the early years of Jefferson-based cross-country the meet was held at Spring Lake, then it moved to the golf course in Jefferson, and has been held in Jefferson on the high school grounds for quite some time until now.
