Greene County Medical Center recently opened its new 52,000-square foot space on the east side of the campus.
With services now in place and operational, signage that will help direct the public will be installed today. Anyone needing services for acute nursing/inpatient rooms, obstetrics, surgery, imaging and lab can enter through the hospital’s main entrance and register in one of two private offices. Those needing emergency care can park off of Grimmell Road on the east side and can walk right in the emergency’s new main entrance.
As for clinic offices such as UnityPoint Clinic, West Central Orthopedics, 21st Century Rehabilitation, Advanced Women’s Care and other speciality clinics may enter in the lower level parking lot.
There is also a new information desk in the main lobby with Auxiliaries helping direct individuals to different parts of the medical center.
Included in the renovation stage of the $22.5 million project is removing the south wing of the medical center for a walkway to extend from the clinics to the main entrance. Below are pictures of the beginning of the expansion project to the final product.
