He might be one of the youngest defenders on the Perry defense, but don’t tell Mark Campos that.  The sophomore shined in his first varsity start Friday night at middle linebacker providing a physical presence to the tune of 7.5 tackles and 1 tackle for loss.

“Mark definitely gets it,” smiled Head Coach Jason Olejniczak.  “He is your prototypical linebacker who has a nose for the football.  He has all the attributes that you want from a middle linebacker.  He is tough, physical and certainly not afraid of contact.  I wish we had a lot of Mark Campos and his toughness on the team.”

The Bluejay defense will look to slow down a high scoring, spread attack from North Polk tomorrow night.  The Comets lost a shoot out to Bondurant Farrar 31-29 last Friday.  You can listen to the game on KDLS.
