The Perry volleyball team will travel to Adel tonight for a varsity tournament at the the ADM gym. The Jayettes are 3-4 on the young season and Head Coach Kristel Schultz is having a lot of fun coaching the tight knit group.
“I would say the unique aspect about our team this year is that there is not one dominant personality. I have a bunch of different girls looking to be leaders and there is absolutely no selfishness present. It is a tight group with a lot of chemistry who really like hanging out with one another.”
Schultz says often times the girls are gathered as a group having fun before each practice.
“Our practices start at 4:45 and lots of times when I’m walking in, they will already be going through warmups and stretching and getting ready. They’re always laughing and having a good time. It is really a positive environment.”
KDLS will have complete results from tonight’s competition in Adel.
