The Dallas County ISU Extension and Outreach Office invites everyone to a program about an illness that can make one of the simplest things difficult, breathing.
The Young and the Breathless program focuses on asthma, one of the most common chronic illnesses and the leading cause of absences for students. Though asthma cannot be cured it can be managed and the session will teach parents what triggers asthma attacks, how to recognize the warning signs, how to make and follow an Asthma Action Plan and manage the environment so their children can be active and participate just like those without the illness.
The program takes place at the Dallas County Extension office in Adel on Thursday, September 10th from 6:30-8pm.
